At this point you might be wondering, “What makes them boogers so cute, huh?”
Honestly, I’m not sure why I thought of it as a funny handle, but it stuck. Now, a few friends even call me Boogers which echoes my childhood nickname, Gooster. My first word was “goo,” likely followed by a laugh, and it seems I haven’t stopped being amused by childish things ever since.

My creativity thrives at the intersection of weird and cute. I consider myself an arbiter of the unexpected, goofy, and off-beat (conditions permitting), but have the eye to create reliably bold, clean designs. Creating new meaning through juxtaposition allows for curiosity in the most unassuming places and everyday things. I try to bring this exploratory and playful approach in all I do.

Growing up I spent my time reading comics (see above), drawing and cutting out my favorite compositions from magazines. I’ve always been drawn towards graphic arts, and was fortunate enough to be able to follow that pathway in college. Since graduation I’ve worked primarily on web design in my professional practice—an avenue I’d recommend for any designer who enjoys a good puzzle!

I believe good, human-centric design is often driven by blending practices and inspiration from unexpected places. Currently I’m seeking new work opportunities to leverage my background in creating branded e-commerce experiences into crafting compelling visual identities.
